Hey Friend,

Just wanted to let you know that I have relaunched my blog at a whole new site, with a whole new theme! Check it out, re-bookmark the new site, and follow me over there. Lots of new articles for you to read.

Hope to see you there!

Welcome to my blog!  And who am I?  I am a woman, mother, wife, dog owner, home-owner, traveler, shopper; I am your every-day, all-American woman working hard to keep her family above water in this crazy world we live in.

Like many, I shop to keep my family supplied with their needs.  What I do different is that I use modern technology combined with old-fashioned “bargain-hunting”  and a little ingenuity to complete many of my bargain shopping needs.   I have this “issue” with paying full retail price for as many things as I can avoid!

How did I end up such a bargain shopper? Two thoughts immediately come to mind:

First: My mother!  She was the 9th out of 12 children of a struggling North Dakota farming family during the Great Depression.  She learned very quickly the need to “penny pinch”, simply to survive and put food on the table.  She carried these lessons through-out life. I grew up in a family with 6 children where paying full price was not an option, nor was buying things we could not immediately pay for.

Second:  My like for the better quality things in life, on a tight budget.  This drives my need to find those bargains!

What I am not, is what I consider a “couponer”.  I find it very hard to clip coupons from papers, ect.  Sounds kind of like an oxymoron, huh?!  I revel in the hunt of a bargain, yet I don’t clip coupons?  Guess you will need to stay tuned as I explain myself through my blog.  How I find my deals, yet I don’t clip coupons.  Hint:  I use lots of modern technology!

Who knows, maybe I will begin clipping?  Wonders will never cease!

Your on-line bargain hunter,

I have been reluctant to use restaurant.com – afraid of it being scam..you know, to good to be true kind of deals. However, since you now wrote about it – I am going to take a chance and try it. I will report back to everyone on my experience! Thank you!!

Hey Elvira. Thanks for stopping by. Did you take the chance and buy a Restaurant deal yet? I just used one of mine recently, and it worked fine. Just be sure to read the fine print so you know if there are any restrictions on it. Happy dinner plans!
